Deep spring water BÖRLIND’s own deep spring water comes from 166 meters below ground. It is characterized by its high level of purity and impeccable microbiological quality. Shea butter This organic shea butter, obtained from the Vitellaria paradoxa tree. It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins. Shea butter offers very good skin protection and makes dry, flaky skin supple again. Castor oil Organic castor seed oil is very rich. It has smoothing and long-lasting nourishing effects and provides a beautiful sheen. Glycerin Glycerin, derived from vegetable oil, has a moisturizing effect. Emulsifier This emulsifier, derived from plant substances, binds water with oil. Behenyl alcohol Behenyl alcohol, obtained from moringa tree seeds, is a lipid component (fatty alcohol). It nourishes the skin and enhances the consistency of emulsions. Camellia japonica seed oil Zhe oil obtained from the seed of the camellia plant is rich in gamma linolenic acid (GLA). This strengthens the skin’s protective barrier, promotes cell regeneration and thereby reduces moisture loss from the skin. The oil is therefore particularly suitable for the care of flaky, dry skin. Fatty acid ester This vegetable oil component is absorbed well by the skin and leaves no oily film. Lipid component This lipid component, derived from plant sterols and macadamia nut oil, nourishes and smooths the skin. D-Panthenol/provitamin B5 This provitamin improves the skin’s elasticity and accelerates cell regeneration. It has moisturizing and regenerating effects. Phenoxyethanol Phenoxyethanol is a nature-identical preservative. It occurs naturally in green tea and chicory. Hydrogenated starch hydrolysate These sugar compounds, derived from plant starch, are used as a base and to protect other active substances. They are also moisturizing. Porphyridium cruentum extract This red algae extract counteracts skin redness and helps with heavy-feeling legs. Silicon dioxide/quartz sand/silicic acid Silicic acid thickens oily products and is used as a base for color pigments. Xanthan Xanthan gum is obtained through fermentation from a plant substrate and is used as a natural gelling agent. (Co-)emulsifier This co-emulsifier, derived from plant substances, binds water with oil. Celandine extract Celandine extract tones blood vessels, soothes and counters skin redness. Carrageenan Carrageenan, obtained from red algae, is used as a natural gelling agent. It also has a moisturizing effect. Vitamin E Vitamin E, derived from vegetable oils, stabilizes cosmetics. As an antioxidant, it protects against free radicals and thus against premature skin aging. It also prevents skin damage caused by UV rays. Oat extract Oat extract has soothing and wound-healing effects. Aloe vera-Powdered concentrate Organic aloe vera is a traditional natural remedy. The extract has anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and soothing properties. In powdered form, aloe vera can be used in high concentrations and without preservatives. Allantoin Allantoin occurs naturally in comfrey, black salsify and horse chestnuts. It relieves irritation and has a regenerating effect Ethylhexylglycerin This vegetable substance has nourishing, antimicrobial and deodorizing properties. Fatty acid of glycyrrhizinic acid This active substance, derived from licorice root, nourishes sensitive skin, strengthens and relieves irritation. Sunflower oil The organic sunflower oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins. It has nourishing and smoothing effects. Citric acid Citric acid is obtained from plant substrate through fermentation. It is used to regulate pH levels. It is also an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid). Benzoic acid salt/sodium benzoate This benzoic acid salt is a nature-identical preservative. Yeast extract Yeast extract contains the polysaccharide beta-glucan. It has a soothing effect, promotes collagen synthesis and boosts the immune system. Potassium sorbate Potassium sorbate is a nature-identical preservative. It occurs naturally in unripe rowan berries. Licorice root extract The extract obtained from the licorice root is traditionally used in natural medicine and has an anti-inflammatory, as well as itch-reducing effect. Due to the antioxidant ingredients, it also prevents premature aging of the skin. The sodium salt of phosphoric acid is used as a stabilizer.
