J'ai acheté ce enregistrement avant de jouer l'orgue pour le concert, comme partie du processus d'apprentissage de la musique. Bien que très ancien, il est excellent et vient fort recommandé. De très belles voix et orchestre avec une livraison très rapide, aussi.

Enregistrement exceptionnel, même si le texte biblique contient des contradictions. Dieu initialement est lent à la colère et gentil, merci... Lorsque les choses se déroulent, il émerge comme une inspiration puissante pour les Hounds of God...

J'ai commencé à apprendre les chorales d'Elijah avec la Lee Choral Society. C'est un travail difficile, la note bashing Elijah, donc j'ai acheté ce CD qui m'a vraiment aidé à entendre l'ensemble de l'œuvre. Elle m'a marqué plus que jamais lorsqu'il a été question de moi et maintenant certaines des mouvements ont vraiment une résonance en raison de la manière dont le monde tourne actuellement. La voix de Janet Baker est divine.

Quelle excellente version d'Élie ce soit malgré son âge de 1968. Lorsque vous vérifiez les solistes, c'est comme lire un hall des artistes vocaux. Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau prend en charge le rôle titre avec une aide efficace de Gwyneth Jones, Janet Baker et Nicolai Gedda. Il y a beaucoup à apprécier dans cet excellent oratorio.
